focus on making small changes to your daily routine. Eat a sensible, balanced,
healthy diet and include exercise in your day’s activities.

High fiber foods keep you fuller, longer with less calories. Try fruits,
vegetables, legumes, and whole grains.
Eat breakfast every day. Jump start your day & your metabolism with
a healthy breakfast.
Don’t skip any meals and don’t starve yourself – it will
slow down your metabolism.
Eat several small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism going
and to avoid snacking on high-calorie food.
Plan your meals out ahead of time, write a grocery list, and stick to
it!
Don’t go grocery shopping when you are hungry.
When you go to the store, park further away and walk. Better yet, walk
or bike to the store.
Take your dog for a walk every day.
If you feel hungry between meals, drink a glass of water before eating
anything.
Keep a log of what you eat and how much you exercise. What you think you
are consuming may be a lot less than what’s on paper. There are several

proportion. Depriving yourself can sometimes cause a bigger problem (by
splurging later).
