strives for a society that has available and accessible high quality psychiatric
diagnosis and treatment. The site contains many helpful articles about
anxiety. Here are a few good ones:

The ADA is a national, non-profit membership organization that is serious
about informing the public, legislators, and health care professionals
that anxiety disorders are real, serious, and treatable.
Although they would like an annual membership fee to support their cause,
(in return you receive a bi-monthly newsletter and given discounts on
other products/services), you can still find some free valuable information
on the site.

Anxiety Panic Internet Resource
They are a grassroots project created and sustained by its users. It contains
information from people who actually live with an anxiety disorder. Site
contains tons of anxiety disorder information, forums and online chats,
a periodic newsletter, and a database of support groups and specialists.
A must see.

This national not-for-profit mental health advocacy association was founded
in 1984 in response to the founders own personal experiences with anxiety
and depressive disorders. Their mission is to aid and counsel those suffering
from anxiety and depressive disorders.
Most interesting feature of site: self-screening
test with online results and referrals to health care providers.

Anxiety Foundation

They are an educational organization that works on a volunteer basis.
Their focus is to educate the public and professionals about anxiety through
their printed and electronic resources. They hope to provide a means in
determining if you are suffering from an anxiety disorder and they provide
a list of medical and non-medical professionals who are experienced in
treating anxiety disorders. This is a free database and is maintained
as a public service.
